J.S.A.SAKE DIPLOMA incl. Exam Sake course

Since it was founded in 1969, the Japan Sommelier Association (J.S.A., President Shinya Tasaki, over 15,000 members) has been working with the aim of improving knowledge of wine and other beverages, as well as promoting the catering and beverage industry. With the growing interest in sake and sake service in the world, J.S.A. decided to pass the J.S.A. To introduce SAKE DIPLOMA International. In Europe, this demanding test was carried out for the first time in October 2019. The SAKE & SHOCHU ACADEMY EUROPE is the only provider of the J.S.A. SAKE DIPLOMA in Europe as well as provider of the course for exam preparation.

This course provides participants with comprehensive information on the history, ingredients, classification, production and sensory properties of sake and shochu. With a five-step plan (see details), participants have the opportunity to deal thoroughly with lecturers and other participants about the learning materials and to work on them independently in the meantime. The important topic of food pairing is practiced with a four-course menu. With over 40 samples of Sake & Shochu as well as exam exercises, the participants are well prepared for the J.S.A. SAKE DIPLOMA INTERNATIONAL prepared. The lessons are mainly held in German. The textbook J.S.A. SAKE DIPLOMA INTERNATIONAL, material, workshop and the exam (separate registration required) are in English.
