Sumiya Shouten Mirin Mikawa Original

Mikawa Mirin Original is made with selected Japanese ingredients and traditional methods, extracting the sweetness and umami of sweet rice in the best way. Intensive and crisp sweetness with distinct umami taste. It is full of the natural flavour and richness of the rice. For sweet seasoning of fish and vegetables and for Teriyaki sauce. Can be also enjoyed straight as a liqueur.

Founded in 1910 in the Mikawa area (Aichi prefecture), the home of mirin production with the largest number of mirin manufacturers in Japan. They ferment mirin with a traditional method, using only sweet rice, Koji and rice distillate. It takes two years to complete the fermentation and maturing. This traditional method gives a mild and profound sweetness.

Classification of Premium Sake

For high quality sake, rice is polished prior to processing with the goal of eliminating the bran and protein which encase the starch held at the center of the rice grain.
