Buchpräsentation in Tokyo 英語で魅せるSAKEの本: SAKE- The Art and Craft of Japan’s National Drink 出版記念パーティー　in Tokyo

We're excited to announce that Sake Samurai Yoshiko Ueno Müller, founder of the German sake trading company Ueno Gourmet, will be publishing a book on sake in English this autumn. Yoshiko has made a significant contribution to the European market and to sommelier education. The 304-page large-format visual book, which is made with both, a famous German photographer and a designer, is a great way to show Japan's drinking culture received with European sense, at the same time as lots of people are talking about sake becoming more popular around the world. To mark the global launch of the book, breweries exporting to Germany got together in Tokyo to celebrate. After the author gives a presentation about the book and a guest joins in for a discussion in Japanese, the brewery will host the party and serve their sake. There'll also be a buffet with some dishes that go well with sake. It's a must-see event for sake fans, people in the food and beverage and tourism industries who need to explain Japan and sake to foreigners in English, sake breweries and those involved in developing inbound demand for sake and promoting overseas exports.

18:45- After a greeting by Mr. Kenjiro Monji (former UNESCO Ambassador) and a toast by Mr Koichi Saura (owner of URAKASUMI Sake Brewery),  enjoy a pairing of SAKE recommended by the breweries with a Western buffet.
